Dana White recently gave his thoughts on Renato Moicano's injury at UFC Paris. Though impressed by Moicano's performance in spite of his injury, White refrained from talking about the Brazilian's upcoming bout.

Moicano took on Benoit Saint Denis in a lightweight bout at UFC Paris this past Saturday. The 35-year-old fighter's acromion was visible during the bout, indicating that he may have suffered a shoulder dislocation. Despite his injury, Moicano dominated Saint Denis for most of the first round, landing brutal ground and pound blows.

Prior to the start of the third round, Moicano was declared the winner because the cageside doctor felt Saint Denis was injured by 'Money's strong blows. After the fight, Moicano shared an x-ray of his shoulder on social media, indicating that he had suffered a shoulder injury three weeks prior to the fight and that there was a noticeable space between his collarbone and acromion.

Following Tuesday's episode of Contender Series, White was questioned about Moicano's injury and his future. The 55-year-old responded by praising the No. 11-ranked lightweight.

''You saw what happened to him [Moicano], right? It's going to be a minute before he's even discussed...it was incredible, what he was able to do with that injury.''

White continued by saying that the cageside doctor would have gone to Moicano and declared him unfit instead of Saint Denis if the latter had not sustained a terrible eye injury. He added:

''They're lucky because if Saint Denis' eye didn't look like that, and the doctor went over to the other side, fights off.''

Dana White takes a dig at UFC rankings

After defeating Benoit Saint Denis at UFC Paris, Renato Moicano was expected to rise in the lightweight rankings. That didn't happen, though, since Moicano is still ranked eleventh. As a result, the Brazilian went on the social media rampage, defending his right to a higher ranking and receiving support from MMA journalist Ariel Helwani.

In a recent interview with Kevin Iole, Dana White was asked about Moicano's comments concerning UFC rankings. White endorsed 'Money' and promised to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

''Me too, that makes the two of us...I gotta find some media guys that know the fight sport, that understand the sport of fighting, that are actually doing the rankings, so the rankings are definitely a problem. But don't worry, my friend, AI will be here soon and this will all be fixed.''
