Dana White recently took to social media to bid adieu to his prized bull 'Twisted Steel' and shared an emotional message mourning his passing. 'Twisted Steel' was notably among the most popular bulls on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) roster and had been suffering from health issues for a while.
In a recent Instagram post, the PBR CEO shared some snaps of 'Twisted Steel' and penned a heartfelt note announcing his death. Pointing out that he will continue his association with PBR with his two other bulls, 'Sour Diesel' and 'White Thunder,' he wrote:
Some sad news to begin the new year. After dealing with an ongoing health issue, @danawhite's Twisted Steel has passed away peacefully in Texas. Like many others, Dana established a special bond with Twisted Steel, whose popularity among fans matched his soaring buck-off percentage. While Twisted Steel will never be replaced, Dana loves the sport and, with his partner Dennis Davis, continues on with Sour Diesel and White Thunder... For now, we send our deepest condolences to Dana and all those who cared for Twisted Steel."

When Dana White spoke about his love for PBR and the bull-riding circuit
Dana White once opened up about his love for PBR and compared bull-riding to MMA fighters in the cage. The UFC CEO got into the sport in 2016 after purchasing 'Stank Face' and 'F-Bomb' as his first bulls. Both bulls have since retired.
In an interview with PBR, White explained why he loved the sport and how it was similar to cagefighting. He said:
"I think the reason that I fell in love with [bullriding] is because the mentality is much like fighting. To step into a cage in front of the whole world and test yourself against somebody who’s trained and is as good as you are is crazy and scary. Then, to get into that rack and slide in on a bull... The mental toughness and the absolute craziness you have to have in you to be a bull rider is just next level." [H/t: PBR]
