Just like every other fight fan, UFC CEO Dana White is captivated by the UFC 303 main event pairing between Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka, and the intriguing narrative accompanying it.

During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Prochazka alleged that Pereira harnesses the "help of spiritual things" and works with "Shamanics" to outperform his adversaries. The former UFC 205-pound champion is convinced that on a purely human level without the use of the alleged external help, 'Poatan's fighting abilities may be deficient.

White reacted to Prochazka's comments in an interview with The Mac Life, claiming that he "loves that sh*t." Furthermore, he shared an absorbing account from 'BJP's' standpoint upon being informed that he's fighting Pereira next. White revealed:

"When Jiri found out about the fight, apparently he goes into a shed for three days... No water, no food, no nothing, and prays or meditates or whatever he does. Apparently, his coach went and banged on the door and told him that this fight was available and he said something to the effect of, 'If this is what the universe wants."

He further added that it's stories like this that add to the allure of the event:

"He is that dude. He sees him doing the Shaman stuff or whatever or Chama or whatever the f**k it is, he's like this is unfair, he's using witchcraft, or whatever f**king black magic. It is just another reason why this fight is so f**king awesome."

Alex Pereira reacts to Jiri Prochazka's accusations leading up to the UFC 303 clash

Alex Pereira captured the vacant light heavyweight throne with a second-round TKO victory over Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295. Seven months later, the pair is slated to renew acquaintances in the main event of UFC 303.

Within the fight game, both fighters have an established aura as enigmatic figures that fascinate fans. The UFC 303 pairing is particularly remarkable considering that they stepped in on short notice to lead the spectacle.

Leading up to the clash, Prochazka has consistently accused Pereira of using the help of external spiritual forces to help him prepare for combat. Unfazed by the allegations, 'Poaton' reacted to his rivals' comment at the pre-fight media scrum, stating:

"Everybody has their own spirits. We’re not only made of flesh and bone. I have found mine. If he has not found his, or he does not believe, it’s not my fault."
