UFC president Dana White is one of many famous personalities paying respects to the legendary actor James Earl Jones, who passed away recently at the age of 93. White rarely posts anything non-fight related on his social media but he took the time to commemorate the iconic star in a simple Instagram story, saying:
"RIP #LEGEND"
Jones is one of the few individuals in history to win the prestigious EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony) award, making a name for himself in nearly all forms of media. Starting his career in theater in the late 50s, the American actor transitioned into films in the mid-60s.

Jones' powerful screen presence and distinctly deep baritone voice landed him memorable roles in 'Dr. Strangelove' (1964), 'The Hunt for the Red October' (1990), and 'Coming to America' (1988). But perhaps his most iconic roles were in his voice acting, lending his pipes as Darth Vader in the 'Star Wars' franchise and Mufasa in 'The Lion King' franchise.
His final acting role was in 2021's 'Coming 2 America', reprising his role as King Jaffe Joffer from the 1988 classic film with Eddie Murphy.

However, the true main attraction of this event is the fact that it will take place inside the innovative entertainment venue the Sphere in Las Vegas. Fans, fighters, and media members are all excited to see how the event will utilize Spherical Dome's 16k wraparound LED interior display.
Speaking to the ufcs-white-believes-sphere-event-could-change-live-sports-3165202/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" data-is-sponsored="false">Las Vegas Review-Journal, White described the initial test runs of the event inside the Sphere, saying:
"I got into this for the stress. Why would I have wanted to do this if I didn’t think it was going to be hard? That’s what makes it so fun. I love it. And we’re ready. We’re good to go. It’s just all about rehearsing and making sure it goes off seamlessly... I’m extremely confident. It’s going to be bada**. It really is."
