According to UFC fighter Kevin Holland, the promotion's CEO Dana White is interested in witnessing a showdown between 'Trailblazer' and Shara Magomedov. This potential match-up all started with a social media post from Magoemdov.

'Shara Bullet' uploaded a video to his Instagram account, calling out Holland for a showdown in July. He said:

"Kevin Holland, the real pirate here. Shara Bulet in USA. I kill you July 13th, let's go fight. I kill you. I take your head home."

The video caught Holland's attention who took to the comments section to share his response. The 31-year-old claimed that White was in favor of the matchup and as a result, 'Trailblazer' himself was interested in a showdown against the Dagestani.

"If the boss [Dana White] likes it, I love it and by the looks of it, he liked it."

If Holland's statement is true, it would be a surprise as White had previously stated that it was unlikely for Magomedov to compete in the United States.

UFC Denver will take place at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, on July 13. The fight was scheduled to be headlined by a flyweight scrap between Maycee Barber and former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas.

But news recently broke that Barber had dropped out of the fight due to undisclosed reasons. According to MMA Fighting, the UFC is attempting to bring Tracy Cortez in as a late replacement for 'The Future' in the UFC Denver main event.

How did Kevin Holland and Shara Magomedov do in their last outings?

Kevin Holland was recently seen in action on June 1. The 31-year-old went toe-to-toe against Michal Oleksiejczuk in a middleweight bout at UFC 302. The event was held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and was headlined by a title fight between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier.

Holland made light work of his opponent that night and scored a technical submission victory via an armbar less than 100 seconds into the fight. 'Trailblazer' was awarded the 'Performance of the Night' bonus and took home an additional sum of $50,000.

Magomedov, on the other hand, competed just days ago at the UFC Saudi Arabia card on June 22. He fought Antonio Trocoli and defeated him via TKO in the third round. Magomedov also received a performance bonus worth $50,000 for his efforts.
