Noche UFC (UFC 306) is almost upon us, and Dana White doesn't seem to appreciate boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya's plans to attend the promotion's magnum opus event at The Las Vegas Sphere.
During a recent 'Clapback Thursdays' segment on his Instagram, De La Hoya slammed Canelo Alvarez's upcoming title clash against Edgar Berlanga this Saturday, calling it a "snooze fest."
The 51-year-old then stated that he'd instead be attending UFC 306 this weekend:
"So we are a week away from the boxing match that nobody asked for right and the UFC event that everybody will be watching. Canelo is fighting Berlanga, another snooze fest... It's robbery at this point to pay for another lame Canelo fight...I'll actually be attending the UFC event at The Sphere instead."

White wasn't too happy with De La Hoya's comments on Alvarez. As he sees it, Noche UFC is a celebration of Mexican combat sports legends, including Alvarez.
In a recent interview with Grind City Media, the UFC head honcho clapped back at the former world champion pugilist turned promoter saying:
"Listen, I don't know where he is getting his tickets from. He didn't get it from me. I don't know if he is coming with Sheik Turki [Saudi Arabia's minister of General Entertainment Authority] or what his deal is. It's him trying to s**t on Canelo and I said it a million times, I respect Canelo..."
White added:
"That night we're talking about the history of Mexico and the history of the people and their traditions and the impact that they've had on combat sports and somebody said to me, 'So you'll be celebrating Canelo that night.' Yes, we are. Canelo is a big part of the night."

Some fights to look out for at Noche UFC
Noche UFC (UFC 306) commemorating the Mexican Independence Day will go down on Saturday, Sept. 14 at The Las Vegas Sphere. The fight card has a wealth of Mexican talent on offer. Let us take a look at some of the standout fights on the card.
The event will be headlined by a bantamweight title clash between Sean O'Malley and the No.1-ranked contender Merab Dvalishvili. This is O'Malley's second title defense since winning the belt against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292.
The co-main event features Mexico's Alexa Grasso as she attempts to defend the women's flyweight title in a trilogy fight against former champion Valentina Shevchenko.
Former featherweight title challenger Brian Ortega will take on dangerous up-and-comer Diego Lopes on the main card. Apart from this, UFC wunderkind Raul Rosas Jr. will take on Qileng Aori in the early prelims.
