Thai-Aussie striking star and former ONE world title challenger 'Mini T' Danial Williams was concerned that young opponent Banma Duoji would have an extra boost of power, having missed weight for their strawweight MMA clash last weekend.
But it turned out to be a non-factor as the strawweight firecracker turned in another vintage performance at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video.
Speaking to veteran reporter Nick Atkin of Bangkok Post, Williams shared his thoughts on Duoji missing weight for their fight.

'Mini T' said:
"Yeah, yeah, last time, my opponent missed weight, I felt that power, so this time I was like 'no, no, you’re gonna get punished this time. You can’t be missing weight man, this fight was matched for a while. And it was actually matched at strawweight, so God knows how he would have made that."
Williams ended the night with a bang, defeating the Chinese star via unanimous decision after three rounds.
ONE Fight Night 25: Nicolas vs. Eersel II on Prime Video took place live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, last Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
Danial Williams says Banma Duoji's size was a factor: "I just felt he was quite strong"
'Mini T' Danial Williams says he was quite surprised with just how strong Banma Duoji was, but he understood why. He believes the weight miss had a lot to do with it.
Nevertheless, the Thai-Aussie fighter made key adjustments in their clash at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video, ultimately leading to his victory.
'Mini T' said:
"I thought compared to his last fight, he was doing a lot of takedowns against a Muay Thai styled-fighter. So I was expecting him [to do that]. But he’s big, man. He missed weight and I just felt he was quite strong."
