Danial Williams on his biggest flaw from Banma Duoji win at ONE Fight Night 25: “Getting a little bit more of those hands tight”

Though he came out on top in his scrap with Chinese standout Banma Duoji, three-sport superstar Danial Williams knows he still has some work to do in the gym.

Returning to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, 'Mini T' climbed back into the win column at ONE Fight Night 25 on Prime Video, scoring a unanimous decision victory over Banma.

It was an impressive showing from Danial Williams and a win he desperately needed to keep himself relevant in the division. But, the Australian-Thai fighter knows that if he hopes to keep winning, he'll have to tighten up his skills, specifically on the defensive side of things.

“I was watching that fight quite a bit after and my boxing defense is something I really want to work on," Williams told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview. "I already have started working on it, just getting a little bit more of those hands tight, getting that muscle memory of the shoulders up. And, yeah that'll work.”

Though Danial Williams felt like he had delivered the better performance at ONE Fight Night 25, 'Mini T' was admittedly nervous before hearing the judge's decision.

"I was confident, but you just never know, right? You just never know what the judges were looking at," he added. "But I was confident that I just had the better shot so I controlled the pace. Just hold the center - that was the game plan to hold the center. And yeah, I just felt like controlled it everywhere, really."

Overall, Williams is 4-2 in his mixed martial arts run with ONE, including victories against Dejdamrong, Namiki Kawahara, Zelgang Zhaxi, and Banma.

Aside from his work in MMA, 'Mini T' has gone toe-to-toe with some of the best strikers in the world like Rodtang, Superlek, and Jonathan Di Bella.
