Watch: Danial Williams connects with flying tomahawk elbow on Rodtang’s forehead

Australia's Danial Williams went to war against one of the top fighters in Muay Thai when he met 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon in their 2021 battle. Both men gave it their all with the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship on the line.

'Mini T' Danial Williams had an impressive moment in the fight when he landed a flying tomahawk elbow against the Thai superstar. ONE Championship has shared the moment on Instagram:

"TOMAHAWK 🪓 Will Danial Williams EDGE OUT Jeremy Miado on October 21 at ONE on Prime video 3?"

The 29-year-old Williams is proud to have exchanged with a remarkable fighter like Rodtang. The Australian-born athlete has fought in both Muay Thai and MMA. He said he would welcome Rodtang to an MMA fight one day.

In an interview with Tim Wheaton of MMA Sucka, 'Mini T' commented on his Rodtang fight:

“I would love to fight Rodtang in MMA. Five minute rounds. That’ll be sick… I did come off a short camp when I fought him, I was in the weight division above mine, and I think with a bit of a training camp in MMA I’ll back myself. And I think that’ll be an absolute barnburner.”

Williams will be seeking his fourth win in 2022 when he fights at ONE on Prime Video 3 on October 21. It will no doubt be a frenetic showdown between 'Mini T' and Jeremy Miado.

Danial Williams looking for a finish at ONE on Prime Video 3

Danial Williams and Jeremy Miado will be battling for a place in the competitive strawweight division. Both combatants have three-fight win streaks and will be angling for a potential world title shot with a win on October 21. 'Mini T' wants to get a win and a belt in ONE.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Williams explained:

“Someone’s definitely getting stopped here, but it’s not going to be me. It doesn’t matter when it comes. All that matters is that I go there and get the finish.”

He added that, with a win, he will be seeking a shot at the world title. Whether it's against Joshua Pacio in MMA or Joseph Lasiri and Rodtang in Muay Thai, Williams is seeking ONE gold. 'Mini T' said:

“Getting the win and then stepping into a world title fight would be the perfect scenario. Even with Rodtang and Lasiri too. Either one of those men pull out, I’d love to slip in there.”

Joseph Lasiri and Rodtang will meet at ONE on Prime Video 4 on Friday, November 18 for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship. In MMA, the strawweight throne is held by Joshua Pacio who will look to defend his world title against Jarred Brooks at ONE 164 on December 3.
