'Mini T' Danial Williams says that being all brawn and no brain doesn't help win fights anymore. As the Thai-Australian superstar puts the final touches to his game plan for Thongpoon PK Saenchai, he's more conscientious about putting on a premeditated performance as opposed to being reckless and more spontaneous.
Speaking to Sportskeeda MMA ahead of ONE Fight Night 26, the Perth native elaborated:
"For example, in my last fight, I got back into the winner's column and there was a lot of tactical changes involved. So for this fight, I gotta bring that same level of intelligence. I just can't go out for it, I need to be a bit smarter."

Before his last victory, Danial Williams experienced a bit of a bad skid against some of the most competitive strikers in the industry. More specifically, Jeremy Miado and Superlek Kiatmoo9 in 2022 and 2023, respectively. It was the first time 'Mini T' experienced double stoppages in back-to-back fashion.
So although we like to see Williams take some risks inside the cage, he's better when he's composed and more strategic about his next move.
ONE Fight Night 26 airs live on Dec. 6 via Prime Video for North American subscribers in Canada and the United States.
"I need to get some new highlights out there" - Danial Williams is determined to create something new for the fans to talk about
Danial Williams is not only determined to extend his win streak, but he's also determined to win with style.
The Thai-Australian slugger is best known for putting on entertaining fights that are jam-packed with exciting moments, just like he did in his debut fight against former flyweight destroyer Rodtang Jitmuangnon in 2021.
Although he hasn't delivered a KO over the past two years, Williams says he's still gunning for a spectacular finish no matter the fight.
Speaking to ONE Championship, he said:
"I would love to build some new highlights because I've seen the same highlights of mine. I need to get some new highlights out there. So, I just want to be entertaining and just go for that finish."
