Thai-born Australian athlete 'Mini T' Danial Williams watched 'The Warrior' Christian Lee battle at ONE on Prime Video 4. He came away with a new appreciation for the Singaporean-American fighter after witnessing his performance.

'The Warrior', who holds the ONE lightweight world championship, went up in weight class to fight for the welterweight crown against Kiamrian Abbasov. Abbasov struggled on the scale, so had an even larger weight advantage on fight night.

In the headline bout, Lee was dropped and struggled to survive the heavy artillery from his opponent. However, he survived, rallied back, and won via TKO. All of this impressed 'Mini T'.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Danial Williams explained:

"It shows exactly just how hungry he is. I was looking at some stats, I remember it was Bisping who said this in a documentary. He said people who missed weight, it definitely favors the other guy like 80 percent. For him to step up, and the guy missed weight, he definitely wants it."

Danial Williams, who went 3-1 in 2022, was inspired by the journey of the Singaporean-American athlete Christian Lee. The No.5-ranked 'Mini T' will be looking to use that strength in his journey towards a shot at the throne in the strawweight division.

Christian Lee now holds two world titles in ONE Championship. He reigns over both the lightweight and welterweight divisions. Being a double-weight world champion is the pinnacle of 'The Warrior's professional career, but this prestige comes with its dangers.

Christian Lee and his many contenders

Welterweight and lightweight are both stacked divisions with a long list of dangerous contenders. Christian Lee has two illustrious world titles, but he now faces the challenge of defending both straps.

A protege of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Saygid Izagakhmaev has dominantly worked his way to the top of the lightweight division. This Dagestani fighter is fresh off of a TKO win against former ONE lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki.

Izagakhmaev wants Christian Lee next.

On facing the Dagestani, Lee said in an interview with ONE:

"Definitely a clear contender in the lightweight division right now. I don’t see anyone else with the kind of momentum that he has."

At welterweight, there is likely to be a world title eliminator bout between undefeated Russian Murad Ramazanov and former KSW double champion Roberto Soldic. Both are dangerous athletes.

On fighting either one of these contenders, Lee spoke to ONE and explained:

"Roberto, he’s been a big name that ONE Championship just recently signed. I know there’s been a lot of talk about him. A lot of hype coming from behind him ... I think that Ramazanov was already in line for a title shot before that fight. So I don’t see any other welterweight contenders that they would put ahead of the line for a title shot."
