Three-sport athlete Danial Williams entered ONE Fight Night 25 at Lumpinee Stadium last weekend with his back against the wall. Coming up short in his last four contests, the Australian-Thai warrior was in desperate need of a victory to get his career back on track.

Needless to say, Williams's confidence returned following his morale-boosting triumph over tough opponent Banma Duoji.

'Mini T' fought like a man on a mission against his tough adversary and returned to his striking roots to get the well-earned unanimous decision win in their catchweight MMA contest.

Speaking in a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive, Williams says he's just relieved to finally get the monkey off his back:

"It means a lot to me because I've been on a skid lately. So it was quite a struggle, the last few fights. So, to get back in the win column really built the confidence. It means a lot to me in terms of confidence."

To be fair, Danial Williams' slide came against elite competition, including short-notice world title bouts against world-class strikers Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Jonathan Di Bella.

The Kao Sok Muay Thai and Scrappy MMA product still earned the admiration of many for his valiant efforts in those tough losses.

Danial Williams exercised patience to get his hand raised

Enduring a lengthy losing streak can be mentally and emotionally draining, something that Danial Williams can attest to.

Still, the 31-year-old kept working on his game behind closed doors to ensure he'll no longer commit the same mistakes.

'Mini T' told Sportskeeda MMA:

"I had to really be patient in this fight cause in a lot of my fights, I just want to go in there [and mix it up]. And that’s why I do want to chase a Muay Thai fight next because it's the one sport I haven’t stopped training."
