Daniel Cormier hasn't been shy about his interest in professional wrestling and may venture into the WWE sometime in the future. However, the former two-weight UFC champion said that being a commentator and analyst for mixed-martial arts is his priority.

According to an article by Sports Insider, 'DC' may find himself covering next month's highly touted WrestleMania event. Here's what Cormier said about him calling the event:

"I’m going to WrestleMania. The first week of April for ESPN, I’ll be leading the coverage for WrestleMania. I’m so excited about it. I’m getting more opportunities for ESPN, and I’m so thankful for that. So I’ll be at WrestleMania, just in a different capacity, and we’ll see what the future holds down the line."

Last October, Daniel Cormier appeared as a guest referee at WWE's Extreme Rules event in a pit fight between Matt Riddle vs. Seth Rollins.

With Cormier set to call next month's WrestleMania 39, there is a possibility that 'DC' may compete in the WWE at some point in the future. We might get a potential showdown between 'DC' and 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar if Cormier makes the transition to professional wrestling.

Here's what Cormier said about a potential match with Brock Lesner, according to an article by Sports Illustrated:

"If Brock steps in my way? I’ll smack him upside his head."

When Brock Lesner shoved Daniel Cormier at UFC 226

UFC president Dana White once said that the winner of Stipe Miocic vs. Daniel Cormier in their first meeting at UFC 226. Cormier shocked the world by knocking out Miocic in the first round to secure the heavyweight championship. With the win over Miocic, 'DC' became the second double-champ in UFC history.

Following his win over Miocic, Cormier proceeded to call out Brock Lesnar, who was in attendance at the event. Here's how 'DC' called 'The Best Incarnate' out:

"Listen to 'DC', listen to 'DC'. There's a guy that I've known for a long time. He's a wrestler. He's an all-American. He's the former UFC champion. I never thought I would fight him, but Brock Lesner, get you a** in here!"

Brock Lesnar walked into the octagon and muttered something under his breath before shoving 'DC'. Lesnar then said the following on the mic after a back-and-forth with the then-dual champ:

"Let me tell you something. I walked into this building and watched the heavyweight disasters from the beginning. [Francis] Ngannou's a piece of sh*t. [Stipe] Miocic's a piece of sh*t. 'DC', I'm coming for you motherf****r!"

The potential matchup between Brock Lesnar and Daniel Cormier never materialized. However, 'DC' fought Miocic twice after, losing both bouts.
