Daniel Cormier has questioned whether or not Jorge Masvidal should come back to the octagon, after 'Gamebred' confirmed earlier this week he's in talks with the UFC regarding his potential return.
The former BMF champ called time on his MMA career in April 2023, after losing to Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision. The loss was his fourth straight in the promotion, with Masvidal later claiming it was time to call it a day as he no longer had the desire he once did.
Whilst the 39-year-old typically divides fans in regards to his fighting ability, one thing that can't be denied was his 2019 run that saw him shoot to star status.
During that year, Masvidal defeated both Darren Till and Ben Askren, with the latter still remaining one of the UFC's most iconic knockouts, and picked up the symbolic BMF belt with a TKO win over Nate Diaz.

Reacting to the news of Jorge Masvidal's potential return on his YouTube channel, Daniel Cormier had his say.
According to 'DC', whilst Masvidal should be praised for turning his career into what he did, he isn't so sure it's something fans want to see anymore. He said:
"Jorge Masvidal should be commended for doing what he did to reach the levels of stardom, because when you look at his career as a whole, you really do see a guy that spent the vast majority of his prime as a middling fighter."
Cormier continued:
"It boils down to one year where Jorge Masvidal made you guys care, and it made him a star. But my question to you now is: Do you still care?...Do you care like you did in 2019?" [H/t MMA Fighting]

Jorge Masvidal discusses potential BMF bout against Max Holloway
Inaugural BMF champion Jorge Masvidal recently praised current BMF champ Max Holloway and discussed the possibility of a potential fight between them.
Speaking to MMA Fighting this week, 'Gamebred' admitted to being one of the biggest Holloway fans on the planet and believes it would be an "honor" to be able to step in the ring with 'Blessed' to fight it out for the fans. He said:
"Man, I'm the biggest Max Holloway fan, possibly. I love this guy. I love how he fights. I love his style. I love how he carries himself outside of the ring. He's one of my favorite all-time fighters. So, man, it would be an honor to get Max. I mean, from the bottom of my heart, [it would] be an honor if we throw down, we put on a f*cking show. One of them fights for all the generations. All the lifetimes."
