Daniel Jacobs vs. Shane Mosley Jr.

Round 1: Mosley applies immediate pressure, splits Jacobs' high guard with a jab before landing a hook to the body. Jacobs is on the backfoot against the ropes, and seems to be pacing himself. Mosley going high-low with his jabs. Mosley with a combination but misses.

Jacobs clinches to ward off Mosley's pressure, but they break. Mosley's jab is fast, but it hasn't landed much. Jacobs lands a brief combination but he seems to still be assessing Mosley as the round ends.

Round 2: Mosley backs up Jacobs, who seems content to give up the early rounds as he continues making reads. Mosley's not throwing much besides a jab and body jab. He throws the occasional hook, but misses as he aims for the body. Misses again with a right cross. There's not much activity from either man.

Jacobs lands a quick one-two after a slip from a jab. Mosley lands a nice check hook after Jacobs tries to step in. Mosley splits Jacobs' guard with a triple jab. A swing and a miss with a lunging left hook from Jacobs. Another jab from Mosley. Jacobs an overhand right that partially lands. The round ends with an exchange, with neither man landing.

Round 3: Mosley starts the round on the front foot, backing Jacobs up to the corner. However, nothing comes of it. Jacobs is back in the corner and they clinch before breaking and engaging in a pocket boxing exchange. Mosley refusing to give Jacobs any space, sniping him with jab after jab.

Jacobs isn't doing much, eating a one-two from Mosley. He eats another one-two as Mosley controls the pace of the bout. Jacobs misses with a left hook as the round ends with a wild exchange, as Jacobs blasted Mosley with a few hooks.

Round 4: Jacobs back against the ropes, conceding the center a bit too easily. Mosley seems to have found his rhythm, landing a few jabs before finding Jacobs' chin with a thudding one-two. Jacobs keeps trying to slip the jab and land an overhand right over the top, but Mosley's feints are making him miss.

Mosley with a few shots to the body. Jacobs lands to the body as well, but he simply isn't doing enough. Jacobs with an uppercut to the body, then an uppercut to split Mosley's guard, but Mosley is right back on the front foot. They clinch and the referee breaks it. Jacobs lands a sharp jab and the round ends with a right hand from Jacobs. He seems to be trying to steal the rounds at the end.

Round 5: Mosley and Jacobs meet in the center, Mosley with a hard overhand right that seems to briefly stumble his opponent. Mosley snaps Jacobs' head back with a one-two. Jacobs finally answers with a jab. They get into a brief exchange, swinging with bad intentions, but both men bob and weave.

Mosley with a body jab, which he follows up with a jab-uppercut. There's not much urgency from Jacobs, who eats a body shot from Mosley. Both men land jabs as the round ends.

Round 6: Jacobs lands a jab but eats an immediate counter-right hand that backs him up. Mosley has faced no resistance whenever he's pressured Jacobs, backing him up to the ropes at will. Mosley jabs high, then low, and lands a sharp right hand over the top.

Jacobs with a few punches to the body, but eats another right hand. Mosley lands a check hook, then rips to the body. Mosley with another jab. Another hard right hand lands for Mosley. Jacobs just doesn't seem to have it anymore and doesn't resemble the fighter he once was.

Round 7: Mosley lands a lead left hook around Jacobs' high guard, follows it up with a hook to the body. A snappy one-two lands for Mosley. Jacobs is almost completely inactive for long stretches. More jabs land for Mosley. Jacobs swings for the fences, but nothing lands. He switches stances, as he struggles to find his openings.

Mosley finds his chin with a jab. Jacobs eats a one-two and looks like a shell of his former self. Jacobs keeps lowering his hands as he eats some hard shots. Fatigue seems to be setting in.

Round 8: Jacobs on the backfoot, eats a combination from Mosley against the ropes. Jacobs switches to southpaw but eats more shots form Mosley, who is landing more and more combinations. Mosley is in complete control of the fight, Jacobs isn't doing anything at all.

An accidental clash of heads cuts Jacobs' left eyelid and leads to a pause in the fight. The fight resumes with Mosley landing a one-two. He backs Jacobs up again, sniping him with a one-two. Jacobs is back on the ropes, shoulder-rolling with Mosley's punches.

Jacobs seems galvanized all of a sudden, swinging with power as he forces Mosley onto the backfoot. Unfortunately, he eats a right hand toward the end.

Round 9: Jacobs is on the retreat like he's been for the entire fight. Mosley's one-two seems to be his weapon of choice. There's not much action as the crowd begins chanting for the main event. Jacobs lands a jab and a right hand, but he's fatigued. He throws a lunging right but misses.

Mosley's output has dropped too, but he keeps finding a home for his jab. Mosley seems content to coast and isn't intent on pursuing the finish. The two men end the fight with another inconsequential exchange.

Round 10: Mosley goes high-low with his jab, follows up with a swarming combination. Jacobs lands a right hand, which Mosley answers with a body shot. Mosley attempts a one-two, but nothing lands. A one-two lands for Jacobs though. There's very little volume from Jacobs, which has been the story of the fight.

A left hook lands for Jacobs, who lands a combination afterward. The round ends with an exchange. Jacobs just didn't have it tonight. The commentators are calling for his retirement.
