Rising talent Danielle Kelly impressed the masses with her submission win at ONE on Prime Video 4. She particularly awed CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who granted her a $50,000 performance bonus for her efforts.
Some athletes no doubt blow through their performance checks in a matter of days, but not Kelly. In fact, she affirmed her wise spending habits, telling ONE:
"To be honest, I didn't do much with it. I was in need of a new car anyway. So maybe I used a little bit of it. But I haven't done much with it just because, like, I'm very paranoid and I want to be smart with money. So you know, maybe I'll use it in like a year or two."
The 27-year-old recorded her very first win inside the circle, locking in a rear-naked choke on Mariia Molchanova. The result came months after her promotional debut, which ended in a draw with Mei Yamaguchi.

Danielle Kelly speaks on her strong support system
The Silver Fox BJJ affiliate is immensely grateful for the support that she continues to receive from coaches, friends, and family. Danielle Kelly detailed in a conversation with the promotion:
“If you surround yourself with a good environment that's really going to help you go far. Whereas if you surround yourself with bad people, they're just going to put you down, you know, and that's just the reality of it. So I think with my situation now, I think where I'm at now speaks for itself because I'm around the right people.”
Fans around the world have been clamoring for an update regarding Kelly's move to mixed martial arts. While it's not a guarantee, the grappler has eluded to the idea in recent interviews.
Kelly has grappled against top-level MMA athletes like Carla Esparza, Roxanne Modafferi, and Cynthia Calvillo. Needless to say, she has what it takes to handle herself on the ground versus anyone. The question is, how will she fare on the feet?
Make sure to check back with Sportskeeda for an announcement pertaining to Danielle Kelly's next fight, as it will either be against another world-class grappler or her long-awaited MMA debut.
