Danielle Kelly had a very successful first year in ONE Championship. Now, she's hoping to have an even better 2023, which includes winning a world title.
ONE doesn't have a women's strawweight submission grappling belt just yet. In fact, the promotion only has a pair of submission grappling titles, both of which were recently integrated and secured by Mikey Musumeci and Kade Ruotolo.
The Silver Fox BJJ affiliate is aiming to win the inaugural women's strawweight submission grappling belt in the future, followed by doing some sightseeing. Danielle Kelly told the promotion:
"I want to win that women's title for 115, for sure. Another goal is to travel a lot. I would like to travel as much as I can right now. But yeah, win that title and travel."

For now, the 27-year-old is preparing to face judo star Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7, which airs live on February 24 and is free on Prime Video.
Danielle Kelly looking to become the face of women's jiu-jitsu in ONE Championship
Kelly has been making waves in the BJJ community for many years, beating elite competitors like Cynthia Calvillo, Roxanne Modafferi, and Carla Esparza along the way.
She told the South China Morning Post that she wants to be the face of BJJ:
"Just being that person, like that face. I feel like I have, I would say it's pressure, I talked about pressure in another interview but I would say I have a lot of goals that I want to settle. Obviously, I want to push it more. I want to be that girl, like the face of women's jiu-jitsu for like the smaller girls."
Kelly added:
"I'm not a big girl but you know, just in general, I like to push the sport by being in a spot. I know pressure isn't the right word."
The American picked up her first win inside the circle last November, submitting Mariia Molchanova via rear-naked choke. She'll look to keep her momentum rolling in her upcoming match against Miura.
