Danielle Kelly may have achieved her dream of becoming the inaugural ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion, but the chip on her shoulder still remains.
The 27-year-old BJJ ace put on the performance of a lifetime when she avenged her previous defeat to rival Jessa Khan at ONE Fight Night 14 last month.
Despite that monumental victory, Kelly still deals with her fair share of detractors online. The Silver Fox BJJ product, though, plans to let her sensational jiu-jitsu do the talking next time just to shut them up.

“For my next fight, I have to be more prepared to put on a better performance and to show everyone why I truly deserved the win against Jessa and the title,” she said.

After giving up her back against the dangerous Khan early on in their match, Kelly turned the tide and never looked back. She scored a catch with a gnarly toe-hold attempt.
While the Cambodian-American escaped the hold, it was clear she was outclassed after the full 10 minutes.
Kelly’s dominant wrestling and overwhelming pressure passing sealed the deal. Plus, she used her brilliant mastery of the circle walls to her full advantage to take 26 pounds of gold home back to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
