In an interview with ONE Championship, she said:

“I’d be submitting her. I would like to get a choke. I think leg locks are starting to be overrated, but I mean, if I get a leg lock then I'll just go for it, but I don't want to just have tunnel vision on it.”

ONE Fight Night 7 will be the third fight for Danielle Kelly since making her promotional debut last year. She is coming off a dominant victory that she beat Russian Mariia Molchanova by submission last November.

On her debut last March, she settled for a draw against Japanese Mei Yamaguichi. Both fights, however, earned her a $50,000 performance bonus.

Looking to stop Danielle Kelly is Miura, a former ONE women’s strawweight world title contender who is trying to carve a path in a new sport.

ONE Fight Night 7 will take place at the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. All the action will be aired live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.

Since making her promotional debut in March last year, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace has been pushing hard towards her goal, taking all the fights offered to her and continuously working on her game.

Her push continues later this month at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, where she'll face judoka Ayaka Miura in a catchweight submission grappling showdown.

Like her two previous fights with the promotion, Danielle Kelly views her upcoming fight with much significance in relation to her world title goals and putting in the work in training.

She shared to SCMP MMA in an interview:

“I would hope to be the first jiu-jitsu girl for ONE Championship, [to] be a champion for 115. I've been taking it seriously. The only break I had was during the holidays. Now they called me up for this match, I've just been working and training. Training with everybody. I'm studying my opponents. I'm studying other girls, keeping busy.”
