American grappling star Danielle Kelly is highly impressed with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu twin brothers, Kade and Tye Ruotolo. The 20-year-old prodigies have taken the grappling world by storm.
In 2022, Kade Ruotolo was able to capture a world title at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championship in addition to the ONE lightweight submission grappling world title. His twin brother, Tye, was able to submit Marat Gafurov and Garry Tonon that same year. Plus, Tye will soon be in a submission grappling super match against Reinier De Ridder at ONE Fight Night 10 booked for May 5th.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star Danielle Kelly recently discussed the twin brothers in an interview with ONE Championship. She said:
"They're very talented, they're freak athletes the nicest way of saying that. Every time they compete, I root for them and before they got popular, I was always rooting for them."

Kelly also discussed their most recent matches in the ONE circle, she added:
"Yes, Kade's match, he did not get the submission but it was pretty exciting. He kind of kept flipping on the guy. Attempted a knee bar, I think. And Tye, I believe he submitted his guy. Then he got the 50K bonus too."
When is Danielle Kelly grappling next?
Grappling fans can hardly wait to see Danielle Kelly back in the ONE circle. Her next match is booked for a showdown against Japan's 'Zombie' Ayaka Miura at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video. The match is scheduled for February 24th and will be broadcast live and for free on Amazon's streaming platform for all subscribers across North America.
While speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, Danielle Kelly expects to win her upcoming bout by way of submission:
“I’ll be submitting her. I would like to get a choke. I think leglocks are starting to be overrated, but I mean, if I get a leg lock then I’ll just go for it, but I don’t want to just have tunnel vision on it.”
Miura is a Judo black belt with lethal submission skills. Kelly is confident in her ability to nullify her opponent's Judo acumen. She continued:
“I’ve been working on my wrestling. I’m trying to get back to that because I used to wrestle a lot. I don’t want to be just a guard puller. So if I go against her, I think it’d be a fun match. Because I know she’s a judo black belt. I think she does a lot of takedowns for MMA fights. So yeah, we’re figuring out her game.”
