Danielle Kelly has everything it takes to become a superstar in ONE Championship. At ONE on Prime Video 4, the 26-year-old picked up her first win inside the circle after her debut had ended in a draw.

After a solid debut against Mei Yamaguchi in March, Kelly was determined to get her first submission win.

With a world-class transition, she was able to take Mariia Molchanova’s back and secure a rear-naked choke for the submission win just over two minutes into their contest.

Kelly’s resume speaks for itself. She’s already beaten some of the sport’s top names, such as Carla Esparza, Cynthia Calvillo, and Sofia Amarante.

On top of that, Kelly has the looks and personality of a superstar. In an interview with ONE Championship, Kelly revealed that she had worked as a ring girl in the past for some smaller promotions in the US.

Though she’s happy to be the one competing inside the cage and not walking around it, she did show respect for the people doing it:

“Look, would I do it now? No. Because I'd rather go in the cage and choke girls out, not pull up a sign. But that's me. Like, I will never judge anyone else's life or like girls who are doing that. You know, good for them, they get paid for it. But for me, it was a bad time.”

ONE women's atomweight submission grappler Danielle Kelly put on a show in her second appearance inside the circle. At ONE on Prime Video 4, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt picked up her first submission win under the ONE Championship banner.

Danielle Kelly used her brilliant transition to submit sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova in just over two minutes.

After her ONE debut resulted in a draw with Mei Yamaguchi, Kelly was determined to get the tap. Though she dominated her match with Yamaguchi, she was unable to finish her opponent and had to settle for a draw.

The two fighters didn’t need much time to feel each other out, but it was Kelly who eventually got her offence going. With a quick pass, Kelly clung to Molchanova like a backpack and forced the Russian grappler to take the match to the ground.

Once Kelly had her legs in a figure-four bodylock on the Russian sambo star, it was only a matter of time before she got one of her arms under Molchanova's chin.
