Danny Kingad knows that there are big stakes hanging over his next fight that will take place inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The Filipino contender has been a staple of ONE Championship's flyweight division for some time now.

During that time, he has faced the best that the weight class has to offer and evolved and developed as a martial artist along the way. Though his next fight has title implications attached, it's also about getting revenge over an opponent that got the better of him the first time that they met. At ONE 169 on Nov. 8, he will face off with the former ONE flyweight world champion, Adriano Moraes.

The two men first faced off back in 2017, when the Brazilian secured a first round finish to end the fight early in Manila, Philippines.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Danny Kingad spoke about where Moraes was able to capitalize in their first fight:

"At the time, we didn't really have a good strategy and training for our ground game. Those are the two things that factored heavily into my loss."

Danny Kingad will be better prepared for the rematch

Over the years, there has been a lot of improvement when it comes to Danny Kingad and his preparations.

He will look to show this by avenging his loss to Moraes at ONE 169 where either man could emerge as the top flyweight in the division right now.

With Demetrious Johnson recently retiring and vacating the ONE flyweight world championship in the process, this fight is absolutely huge for the division. Fortunately for Kingad, he now believes that he has the right structure in place to perform at his best.

Being at his best is exactly what he's going to need in order to come out on top against an elite competitor like Moraes.
