Former ONE flyweight MMA world title challenger 'The King' Danny Kingad of the Philippines is grateful to have shared the Circle with MMA legend and all-time great 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson.
Johnson recently announced his retirement from professional MMA competition last weekend, when he stepped into the Circle in an emotional sendoff. Among the many ONE Championship athletes who have remembered Johnson's time in the world's largest martial arts organization is the aforementioned Kingad.
Speaking to ONE in a recent interview, the Lions Nation MMA star had nothing but kind words to say about 'Mighty Mouse'.

'The King' stated:
"Our division was lucky to have him. I think everyone knew they had to raise their game because of DJ, and that’s a good thing—it set a new standard for all of us."
Kingad locked horns with Johnson at ONE: Century Part I in October of 2019, losing via three-round unanimous decision.
Needless to say, Johnson rides off into the sunset as one of the greatest, if not the best, ever in the sport.
Meanwhile, Kingad is set to return to action in a highly anticipated rematch with a former adversary.
