Perennial flyweight contender Danny Kingad is feeling pretty good ahead of his long-awaited rematch with former ONE world champion Adriano Moraes.

Alternating wins and losses over the last five years, 'The King' will look to climb back into the win column for the first time in 2024 when he meets returning eight-time titleholder Adriano Moraes. The two flyweight sensations will square off as part of a loaded ONE 169: Atlanta card on Friday, November 8.

Kingad's clash with 'Mikinho' will come seven years removed from their first meeting at ONE: Legends of the World on November 10, 2017. On that night, Moraes scored a first-round submission victory.

This time around, Kingad is feeling much better about his ability to come out on top and even the series against one of the greatest flyweights of all time.

Kingad told The MMA Superfan:

"Right now, I’m more confident, I know that I can overcome Adriano and it’s going to boil down in our game plan,"

Danny Kingad could be one big win away from a flyweight title opportunity

Overall, Danny Kingas is a solid 11-4 under the ONE Championship banner, though he's struggled to see his hand raised in recent years. After seeing a six-fight win streak snapped by Demetrious Johnson during the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix tournament final, 'The King' bounced back with a win over Xie Wei but has since lost two of his last three.

Kingad fell to both Kairat Akhmetov and Yuya Wakamatsu while adding a win over Eko Roni Saputra in between the losses.

Still, Kingad has maintained a spot in the flyweight top five and currently sits as the division's third-ranked contender, meaning a big win over Adriano Moraes in 'Hotlanta' could put him right back into title contention.
