After coming up short in his quest to become a world champion in his first two attempts, Tommy Langaker is still expecting a tough scarp in his upcoming catchweight submission grappling match against Dante Leon on Jan. 10 at ONE Fight Night 27, which goes down inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Langaker spoke to seasoned journalist Nick Atkin ahead of his battle with the 29-year-old Canadian, and he acknowledged the big test that Leon would present against him, he stated:
"Yeah, yeah, Dante is always down for a scrap. He's coming from a good win now. My 2024 wasn't the best year, but I did some good matches. I took some victories. But I want to start off 2025 good and Dante's a great name. It'll kinda take his wave a little but, and I'll do my best."

Tommy Langaker not keen to face Kade Ruotolo again after their world title fights
As much as he dislikes losing, the Wulfing Academy athlete has accepted his defeats at the hands of Kade Ruotolo. Still, he remains game as always to step back and challenge the ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion down the road.
Tommy Langaker said this during the same interview with Nick Atkin by stating:
"I'm not really too bummed about that match in general. I got back at him at CJI and I performed better. It's Kade so, I was ready for it. But it is what it is. It was a good match. It was a good trip. We've fought three times now, so I guess I'm gonna put it on hold a little bit. Nobody wants to see that match again now. Hats off to him."
