Dante Leon is a true innovator in 'The Gentle Art' and his creativity was in full display at ONE Fight Night 26 last weekend.
The Canadian star left a great first impression in his promotional debut when he easily dispatched MMA veteran Bruno Pucci in their lightweight submission grappling showdown.
It didn't take long for Leon to take 'Puccibull's back and put him in a world of hurt after securing a tight body triangle.
With his opponent busy defending a possible rear-naked choke, Dante Leon revealed some tricks up his bag by isolating one of Pucci's arms and putting it behind his back. He then gave it a hard crank from a nasty angle to secure a catch from the referee.

In his in-ring interview with Mitch Chilson, Leon explained his unique submission attempt, which seemed like a modified Americana.
"We call it a 'Thunder Lock.' It's kind of like Americana but pulling the shoulder back," Leon shared.
Moreover, the two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion said he simply exploited the human body's lack of mobility around the shoulder area. He added:
"Men, we don't really have a lot of flexibility in the shoulders, so when we start to get that move and start to put pressure in the back of the head, we open up either that shoulder lock or the triangle because we isolate one arm in the head so that's why I was able to do it and switch to the triangle."
Dante Leon chained his submissions perfectly at ONE Fight Night 26
While Dante Leon didn't get the tap via that amazing 'Thunder Lock', he was still two steps ahead of Bruno Pucci the entire time.
The 29-year-old perfectly transitioned from one technique to another and completely overwhelmed his hapless foe.
Once Pucci defended the 'Thunder Lock', Leon switched to an armbar. It was pretty much a wrap once the Brazilian exposed his neck and locked in a tight triangle choke.
Dante Leon even combined it with another armlock for good measure, getting the submission victory and a cool $50,000 performance bonus to go along with it.
