Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) megastar Dante Leon waited five years to have his revenge against Tommy Langaker at ONE Fight Night 27 last Friday, Jan. 10. However, he has nothing but respect for the Norwegian star's abilities.
Speaking with combat sports journalist Nick Atkin right after earning a unanimous decision win over Langaker at the Friday, Jan. 10 event, Leon praised his longtime rival:
"Tommy is always just a challenging guy. So it feels good to get a match against Tommy. Tommy, in my opinion, is the best grappler in this organization, outside of Kade and Tye, far and away. So to get a win against him, I felt like I wouldn't say I was dominant, but it was a decisive victory."
He later added:

Dante Leon confident he can dethrone either Ruotolo twin for ONE submission grappling gold
Dante Leon has set his sights on winning his first submission grappling crown in ONE by dethroning either lightweight king Kade Ruotolo or his twin brother and welterweight submission grappling world champion Tye Ruotolo.
During the ONE Fight Night 27 post-event press conference, the Pedigo Submission Fighting athlete mentioned:
"Do I have a chance of beating Kade? Yeah, for sure. I have a chance of beating Kade. In the public eye and for the fans of ONE. I'm sure I'll be an underdog, but in my opinion, and to those who know, I think I'm far from an underdog and be their match with either of the brothers."
