Dante Leon makes quick turnaround to face former title challenger Tommy Langaker in all-grappling war at ONE Fight Night 27

Fresh from his incredible ONE debut, Dante Leon will get his wish to run it back with Tommy Langaker.

A high-stakes, 10-minute lightweight submission grappling match has been added to ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs Abdullaev on Prime Video.

On Jan. 10, live in US Primetime inside the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, BJJ superstars Leon and Langaker will butt heads to see who moves closer to a potential title shot against the lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo.

Dante Leon proved all the hype surrounding him was real after dispatching Bruno Pucci at ONE Fight Night 26 with relative ease.

The Canadian strangler showcased textbook technique and ferocious speed and power after taking 'Puccibull's back and securing a nasty triangle-armbar finish in less than two minutes.

After collecting a cool $50,000 performance bonus for his handiwork, the Pedigo Submission Fighting affiliate expressed his desire to grapple Langaker next, given their shared history.

The Norwegian powerhouse narrowly edged out Leon in the 2018 IBJJF Pan-American Championships. Langaker will look to reassert his mastery over the red-hot Leon and steal his momentum.

The Wulfing Academy star has split his first four appearances under the ONE banner, which began with back-to-back victories over Renato Canuto and Uali Kurzhev.

Langaker, however, dropped two world title bouts against the reigning champ Kade Ruotolo. The 30-year-old is itching to get his hand raised again and we'll see if he can do so at Leon's expense.

ONE Fight Night 27 is headlined by two massive world title bouts. The main event will feature Tang Kai's featherweight MMA world title defense against the undefeated Akbar Abdullaev.

The penultimate match, meanwhile, will feature the crowning of an interim atomweight MMA queen once the dust settles between ranked contenders Denice Zamboanga and Alyona Rassohyna.

Plus, fan-favorites Luke Lessei, John Lineker, Timofey Nastyukhin, Chihiro Sawada, and more are all booked for ONE's first Amazon Prime Video event of 2025.
