29-year-old Canadian jiu-jitsu superstar Dante Leon was more than satisfied with his ONE Championship debut last weekend at ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video.
The Pedigo Submission Fighting representative came out to the ONE Championship ring to face Brazilian MMA fighter Bruno Pucci in his first submission grappling match in the world's largest martial arts organization.
Needless to say, Leon put on a show with his fluid grappling style. In the end, he got the submission and a hefty $50,000 performance bonus to boot.
Speaking to the media at the official ONE Fight Night 26 on Prime Video post-fight interviews, Leon talked about the win and how good it felt.

The Canadian star said:
"This time, I was able to showcase a great series, a great chain of attacks. And I'm really happy that Chatri [Sityodtong] and ONE decided to give me the bonus."
Leon added:
"My goal when I go out there is to strive to have that kind of performance, win, lose, or draw that the company would feel honored to give me that bonus as well."

To be able to compete in such a historic stadium such as Lumpinee in his first ever ONE Championship match, Dante Leon feels blessed.
The 29-year-old offered glimmering reviews of the historic venue. He told the promotion in a post-fight interview:
"It's something that I've grown up and read about Lumpinee Stadium, but I've never set foot in it. And then the first time I come here, I get to compete in front of a packed crowd in this stadium. So yeah, the energy here is quite unmatched."
