There's nothing bigger and more rewarding than ONE Championship gold in the submission grappling sphere today. Dante Leon can attest to that.

The Canadian ground game wizard has achieved plenty of success in the discipline's biggest tournaments over the past nine years.

With an impressive haul including a pair of World and Pan No-Gi championships and two IBJJF No-Gi world championships, the 29-year-old is certainly not one to be easily impressed by the accolades that come with being one of the finest modern-day talents in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

Despite all he's achieved, the BJJ black belt believes nothing could match the significance of tasting success in ONE.

In an interview with Jits Magazine, Dante Leon described the promotion's strap as the missing piece in his trophy cabinet and explained why the 26 pounds of gold is right there at the top when it comes to world championships:

"I like to collect the titles that will kind of give me a legacy, you know what I mean? And I've gained and acquired pretty much all belts from every single promotion. But in my opinion, the most prestigious one, and the one that I have missing, is [the one from] ONE Championship. That's the one I want."

Dante Leon can take a significant stride in his quest for world title glory in ONE Championship this week

Dante Leon could be well on his way to turning that world title dream into reality when he makes a quick turnaround for his sophomore outing in ONE Championship.

After dominating Bruno Pucci in his promotional bow on Dec. 7 last year, the Pedigo Submission Fighting athlete returns to face two-time ONE world title challenger Tommy Langaker in a catchweight tie at ONE Fight Night 27 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

This won't be the first time Leon and Langaker meet on the mats. The Norwegian superstar beat the former at the 2018 Pan-American Championship.

North American fans can tune in to this blockbuster rematch and the entire ONE Fight Night 27 card for free with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription this Friday, Jan. 10.
