Dante Leon says ONE Championship's submission grappling roster is unmatched: "The best grapplers are over there"

After his first experience of competing in the world's largest martial arts organization in December 2024 at ONE Fight Night 26, Dante Leon does not doubt that ONE Championship has the best roster of submission grapplers in all combat sports.

Leon made quick work of Bruno Pucci in their lightweight submission grappling battle inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, via a slick arm-triangle choke in just over two minutes.

In his most recent appearance on Jits Magazine's YouTube channel, the 29-year-old BJJ black belt confirmed that the promotion houses the best grapplers in the world, as he claimed:

"The best grapplers are over there. There's not a lot of grapplers when you look at them compared to some other events. But the best ones are there, the real ones are there. Anybody who's not going over there to compete, there's an argument to be said that they don't want to be in a division that just has like, four or five active guys that are just literally the best dudes in the world."

Dante Leon to face Tommy Langaker at ONE Fight Night 27

The Pedigo Submission Fighting representative will have a quick turnaround for his second outing in ONE Championship, as he is scheduled to face former ONE lightweight submission grappling world title challenger Tommy Langaker in a catchweight submission grappling match.

Leon and Langaker will be part of the upcoming ONE Fight Night 27 card, which will take place inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Jan. 10.
