29-year-old Canadian jiu-jitsu star and former IBJJF no gi world champion Dante Leon is looking to wisely stay in his lane in ONE Championship, for the most part.

The lightweight submission grappler says he won't want to try to face any bigger, or smaller, opponents and instead wants to focus on the top names in his division to prove he's superior.

Leon moved up slightly in weight to face former foe Tommy Langaker last weekend at ONE Fight Night 27, and he says it's not something he wants to continue doing, despite the win.

He told the media in his official ONE Fight Night 27 post-fight interview backstage:

"I had to come up in weight to go against Tommy, and it's not something I want to make a habit here at ONE. I don't want to make a habit of going up to all these different weight classes."

Leon scored a unanimous decision victory over Langaker in a heated catchweight showdown, as he evened up their rivalry at one win apiece.

ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abullaev on Prime Video was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, January 11. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Dante Leon loving the experience so far in ONE Championship: "Super unique and super class"

With his victory over Tommy Langaker last weekend at ONE Fight Night 27 in Bangkok, Dante Leon is now 2-0 in the world's largest martial arts organization.

The 29-year-old has nothing but praise for ONE Championship. He told the organization in a recent interview:

"ONE has been amazing. Everything about it has been super unique and super class, as far as the treatment from the organization, the acceptance from the fans and from the employees here, the camaraderie amongst the fighters. You know, the back room, it's like a hockey team back there. Everybody's cheering for everybody. Everybody's there to help each other out. Feels like a sports team."
