In addition to training in his native UK, Darren Till works with fellow UFC fan-favorite Khamzat Chimaev at the Allstars Training Center in Sweden.
Till notably helped Chimaev prepare for the latter's fight against MMA legend Nate Diaz. The Chimaev-Diaz welterweight bout was scheduled to headline UFC 279 on September 10, 2022.
However, Chimaev missed weight for the UFC 279 welterweight matchup. The Chechnya-born Swedish fighter was resultantly rebooked to face Kevin Holland in a 180-pound catchweight bout instead.
While Chimaev vs. Diaz didn't materialize, Till has now unraveled intriguing details regarding Chimaev's intense training camp for the fight.

In an edition of Daniel Cormier Check-In, Darren Till spoke to the MMA great regarding multiple topics.
'The Gorilla' recalled that heading into UFC 279, he and Chimaev engaged in a sparring session with smaller MMA gloves rather than bigger sparring gloves.
Apparently, Khamzat Chimaev's coach wanted Darren Till to mimic Nate Diaz's signature trash talk and disrespectful gestures while sparring against 'Borz.'
Adhering to the coach's directive, Till flipped the bird at Chimaev. The UFC middleweight further explained:
"I was going, 'You little f**king b**ch.' And as I'm there, he clips me with one. And I go back and think, 'Oh, it's on now.' I remember giving a body shot like that..."
Additionally, noting that he caused Khamzat Chimaev to give off a whimpering sound, Darren Till stated:
"And he gave me one back. And it was like a full-out war. But his coach is like, 'This is what Nate's gonna do. He's gonna come in, put the fingers up, and talk sh**.' So, that was it. We had a great sparring session. I could see both of us; we were like, 'Oh, yeah. It's on.' But yeah, it was good."

Darren Till is on a quest for redemption, while Khamzat Chimaev is on the cusp of winning UFC gold
Darren Till has lost four of his last five fights and is on a two-fight losing streak.
The consensus is that the former UFC welterweight title challenger is at a crossroads in his career.
Regardless, Till has vowed to turn things around as he looks to defeat surging contender Dricus du Plessis in a highly-anticipated middleweight bout at tonight's UFC 282 event.
Meanwhile, Khamzat Chimaev is undefeated and within touching distance of capturing UFC welterweight gold. It's being speculated that 'Borz' could face Colby Covington, likely at UFC 286 in March next year.
Moreover, UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards is also expected to fight Kamaru Usman at UFC 286.
Many foresee the Chimaev-Covington winner potentially clashing with the Edwards-Usman winner for the title later in 2023.
