Alex Pereira's recent sparring session with Caio Borralho caught the attention of many MMA fans. Borralho is one of the most promising new contenders to enter the middleweight division's upper echelon, and given Pereira's esteem, their training sessions have circled the MMA world.
Given his experience training with 'Poatan', the middleweight contender is well aware of the skillset possessed by the light heavyweight champion. So much so that he believes Pereira would "easily" defeat the current middleweight champion, Dricus du Plessis.
'Stillknocks' has shared his interest in moving to 205 pounds in the future, which gave rise to a number of predictions about how a potential matchup with the Brazilian would go.
Borralho recently shared his breakdown for the hypothetical matchup during an interview with Submission Radio, where he said this:

"I think [Pereira] can beat DDP easily... I think Khamzat is a different story because of the grappling. But 'Poatan' is definitely getting better at defending takedowns, he's a big guy... He made a good choice moving up to the light heavyweight division."
He continued:
"I think he can knock DDP out really easily, because DDP commits a lot of mistakes in his fights and a lot of openings. If you leave even a small opening with a guy like Alex, you're gonna get knocked out."

Ex-UFC champion shares strong prediction for Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev
Alex Pereira is without an opponent as of right now, having recently defended his light heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 307. He is expected to face No.1 ranked contender Magomed Ankalaev in his next fight, but there has been no indication about when that could be.
'Poatan' admitted to making it difficult for Ankalaev to secure a deal to face him. But should the pair face off, a former opponent of both fighters has shared his prediction for the bout.
Jan Blachowicz, a former light heavyweight champion, was recently interviewed by MMA Fighting, where he said this:
"If Pereira's going to win, it's good for me because I deserve a rematch. If Ankalaev's gonna win, we've had a draw, so we also have some business to do... If Ankalaev's gonna fight against Pereira like he fought his last fight [against Rakic], he's going to lose. This is my opinion."
