MMA fans have been reacting to an old clip of Dricus du Plessis, leading to speculation about the result if the middleweight champion faces Khamzat Chimaev in the future.
'Borz' all but secured himself the No.1 contender spot in the division after a dominant win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308. Chimaev immediately showcased his wrestling and grappling ability, taking the Australian down with ease before locking in a face crank for the first round submission win.
Whilst nothing has yet been confirmed and rumors suggest du Plessis will face Sean Strickland next, it is highly likely Chimaev is awaiting the winner.
Should 'Stillknocks' be victorious and then face Chimaev, fans believe old footage of du Plessis will mean the Chechen-born fighter won't have it all his own way. In a clip doing the rounds on social media, du Plessis is seen competing during his time in Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC).

Dricus du Plessis wants "double title fight" if he deats Khamzat Chimaev
Dricus du Plessis has his sights set on facing Khamzat Chimaev, but only on the condition he can have a double title fight, should he be victorious.
Despite initial rumors suggesting 'Stillknocks' would be rematching Sean Strickland next, it appears as though he wants Chimaev instead.
Speaking in a recent interview with ESPN MMA, du Plessis stated that he should be handed a light heavyweight title bout if he beats Chimaev. The 30-year-old explained:
"If I beat Khamzat Chimaev – I beat Robert Whittaker, then I beat Sean Strickland, then I beat Israel Adesanya, then I beat Khamzat Chimaev, that warrants a double title fight. And I think that might just be it."
