Superbon is on a war path to claim his spot as the world's best pound-for-pound striker. The reigning ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion listed Tawanchai PK Saenchai and Chingiz Allazov as the two most important opponents in his career, and he can fulfill half of that checklist this Friday.

Superbon will challenge Tawanchai for the ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title in the main event of the stacked ONE 170 card at Impact Arena.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the Thai megastar said he wants to avenge his only losses in the promotion against the two fighters who derailed his progression to becoming the planet's undisputed best striker.

He said:

"The other goal is to beat everyone in the rankings, whether Tawanchai or Chingiz who have defeated me. I feel like the goal of sports is to defeat everyone."

Superbon became the inaugural ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion when he flatlined the legendary Giorgio Petrosyan at ONE: First Strike in October 2021.

After defending his throne against bitter rival Marat Grigorian at ONE X, Superbon relinquished his strap to Allazov at ONE Fight Night 6.

Superbon, however, quickly recovered from the defeat and knocked Tayfun Ozcan out with a sublime roundhouse kick at ONE Fight Night 11 before challenging Tawanchai for Muay Thai gold.

That first shot at the ONE featherweight Muay Thai throne, though, didn't go Superbon's way as he fell short via majority decision to his fellow Thai superstar.

Superbon eventually found himself holding ONE Championship gold once more when he outclassed Grigorian for the ONE interim featherweight kickboxing world title. He was then elevated to undisputed status after Allazov left the spotlight.

A first-round knockout win over Jo Nattawut ultimately solidified Superbon's second crack at the featherweight Muay Thai gold.

Superbon confident he'll flip the script against Tawanchai at ONE 170

Superbon believes he has what it takes to topple Tawanchai off the featherweight Muay Thai throne.

In an interview with ONE Championship, Superbon said:

"If I can defend Tawanchai's strength in this fight, it will be a different story. I think I can trade with Tawanchai better and more accurately. My counters should be faster."
