Demetrious Johnson congratulates new featherweight kickboxing king Chingiz Allazov with backstage photo

'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson was highly impressed with 'Chinga' Chingiz Allazov at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video 10.

In the main event, Allazov secured a dominant knockout win over Superbon Singha Mawynn to capture the ONE featherweight kickboxing world title.

On Instagram, 'Mighty Mouse' shared an image of himself alongside the new champ backstage, writing:

"Holy sh*t @chingizallazov is the MAN!!! CONGRATS CHAMP!!!"

After capturing the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Championship by defeating Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, Allazov faced the biggest challenge of his career against the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion.

Their showdown was hosted in Bangkok, Thailand, where 'Chinga' upset the home audience as he knocked out the Thai world champion. With his dominant KO win, Allazov has become the new ONE featherweight kickboxing world titleholder. The result also earned him a $50,000 performance from ONE Championship.

Reflecting on his victory, Allazov told SCMP MMA:

“Sitthichai, [a] four-five year pound for pound number one fighter - I beat him. I really have respect [for] this guy, same [for] Superbon, best of the best striker you know. He beat everyone, yes but I beat him."

When is the next Demetrious Johnson fight?

'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson's next bout will be a historic one. For the first time in history, ONE Championship will be on US soil for an event booked for May 5 at the 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.

In the ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video main event, Johnson will complete his trilogy against rival Adriano Moraes. The two have each exchanged knee-strike knockouts against one another and traded the ONE flyweight world championship back and forth.

On May 5, the two top flyweight athletes will be looking to settle their dispute in a legendary third match. ONE Championship shared a highlight on Instagram of their last match, which ended via knockout in Johnson's favor:
