Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo watch a replay of their fight together

MMA legend Demetrious Johnson has had a storied career that includes world championships as well as a couple of back-and-forth rivalries. Recently, 'Mighty Mouse' rewatched a fight alongside one of his former opponents.

The ONE flyweight king sat down on the couch with former UFC two-division champ Henry Cejudo to watch their two title fights inside the octagon.

'Mighty Mouse' and 'Triple C' have a good relationship despite having spent nearly half an hour inflicting damage upon one another in the cage. The pair of icons essentially saved the UFC's flyweight division when it seemed to be in peril.

They've both since moved on to chase other goals as Johnson currently sits atop ONE's flyweight division and Cejudo remains in retirement (for the time being).

Demetrious Johnson on why he likes MMA over other sports

Johnson's athletic ability is obvious when watching him compete inside the circle—and he could've chosen a different path—but MMA has always been his calling. He told ONE Championship:

“I always hated being punished for other people’s ignorance. Where I come from, there’s a huge drug problem, like marijuana. This was before marijuana was legal.”

Johnson continued, saying:

“Mixed martial arts is a team sport but I’m going out there and competing by myself. I think wrestling led me into that because wrestling’s the same way - you train as a team but if homeboy’s in the bathroom getting high, he’s going to get in trouble for that because I can still practice without him."

'Mighty Mouse' concluded, stating:

"In football, you can’t practice if the f***ing quarterback’s in the back taking a rip. He’s like ‘where’s the quarterback?’ I was like ‘he’s in the bathroom coach he’s been in there for 20 minutes, what do you want me to do?.’"

The 36-year-old is slated to have his highly-anticipated rubber match with Adriano Moraes in the spring of 2023. Both men have finished the other, but only one will reign supreme when it's all said and done.
