“It's amazing, you know, I've been loving my journey here in Asia, but now, to take it back home to the USA, I cannot wait.”

He added:

“I’m always gonna go out there and push the pace. I'm looking for the finish, right? So if I go out there and get a knockout, I'll take that. But you know, I was on my back a lot in the second fight so maybe I can, you know, use these little legs and get a triangle submission. We'll see.”

As a fighter who made his name and carved out the majority of his hall of fame career on US soil, Demetrious Johnson returning to the States to face Moraes will be one of the biggest moments of the year.

Demetrious Johnson’s flying-knee knockout of Adriano Moraes tops ONE’s 2022 KOs

At ONE on Prime Video 1, Demetrious Johnson got his revenge on Adriano Moraes in spectacular fashion.

After being knocked out by a knee from Moraes in their first meeting, Johnson was awarded with ONE Championship's 2022 Mixed Martial Arts Knockout of the Year for his own highlight-reel knee, which ended their rematch with one definitive blow.

With the year-defining result, Johnson avenged his loss, won a bonus, became the flyweight world champion, and secured KO of the Year.

After Moraes shocked the world by finishing Johnson for the first time in his career in 2021, their rematch was set up to be one of the most highly anticipated rematches in ONE Championship history.

Johnson was extremely patient in the rematch, but once the opportunity presented itself, ‘Mighty Mouse’ lined up the shot. After hurting his opponent with an overhand, he followed up with a flying knee that was timed to perfection.

As soon as it landed, Johnson walked away from his opponent victorious, adding the best knockout of his career to his highlight reel.
