Denice Zamboanga '100 percent' sure world title match vs Alyona Rassohyna won't hit a stall: "It's really going to happen"

Denice Zamboanga feels like her interim world title war with Ukraine's Alyona Rassohyna is locked, loaded, and ready for action.

Over the last few years, 'The Menace' has been the victim of multiple delays since the start of her MMA journey with ONE Championship.

But now that she's on the brink of fighting for the atomweight interim gold next Friday, Zamboanga has a good feeling that this matchup will finally pull through.

Speaking to the MMA Superfan this week, the No.2-ranked atomweight MMA contender said:

"I think when I travel already. But really, there's still the weigh-ins. But I feel that this time around, 100 percent it's really going to happen. Back then, there were times when I felt like something's gonna go bad. This time, 100 percent the fight will really happen."

Denice Zamboanga waited nearly five years to earn her bid for atomweight gold. As you may know, the Filipina superstar was previously booked to challenge former atomweight queen Angela Lee in 2021, but their rivalry got scrapped when Lee announced her pregnancy.

And still, Zamboanga was forced to wait three years later when Stamp Fairtex withdrew from their world title bout at ONE 167 this past June, due to a serious knee injury.

Her fight with Rassohyna at ONE Fight Night 25, was also postponed when Zamboanga pulled a hamstring during training. But this time around, the curse seems to have been broken. Zamboanga only senses good vibes out of this one.
