Denice Zamboanga certain TKO stoppage of Alyona Rassohyna was her career's best: "I had never finished my opponent"

Denice Zamboanga believes that on the biggest stage of her career to date, she produced her best performance and win.

There was a lot on the line for the Filipina contender heading into ONE Fight Night 27 on Jan. 10.

'The Menace' has had to wait a long time to finally get an opportunity to compete for ONE gold but that finally arrived at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Zamboanga was confident that she would finish Alyona Rassohyna for the ONE interim atomweight world championship.

ONE fans have watched the atomweight contender develop into a well-rounded competitor, and that was once again the case in her latest outing.

The 27-year-old produced an impressive display against Rassohyna before capping it off with a TKO finish in the second round with some devastating ground-and-pound which forced the referee to step in.

Reflecting on the fight in her post-event press conference, Denice Zamboanga said that this win would have to be the best of her career to date because of the performance and the stakes attached:

"I guess yes, because I had never finished my opponent by TKO while ranked and active, like the ranked fighters in our division."
