Denice Zamboanga has had to wait a long time to finally get her chance to fight for a world championship. With the date finally locked in once again for ONE Fight Night 27, she isn't letting anything getting in the way.
The atomweight contender has had several big fights fall by the wayside in recent times. At ONE 167, she was set to challenge Stamp Fairtex for the ONE atomweight world championship but an injury to the champion postponed the fight.
Whilst Zamboanga competed anyway and got her hand raised, her scheduled interim title fight against Alyona Rassohyna was also pushed back due to her recent injury.
On Jan. 10, she will meet Rassohyna in the co-main event at Lumpinee Stadium and no injury is going to stop her from returning to action and leaving with the interim gold.

"No matter what I feel in that cage or ring, I don't really care. What's important is for me to bring that belt back home to the Philippines."

Denice Zamboanga refuses to let this opportunity slip through her fingers
Denice Zamboanga knows what a win over Alyona Rassohyna could do for her career.
She's already come so close to a huge clash with the Thai superstar, Stamp Fairtex. Everything that she has worked for could collapse if she doesn't get her hand raised on Jan. 10, but for Zamboanga, coming up short simply isn't an option.
Beating Rassohyna puts her back in pole position as the interim champion meaning that when Stamp, her former training partner, is back, they will finally settle the score.
Zamboanga just has to continue pushing forward no matter what hurdles await her in the coming weeks.
