ONE interim women's atomweight MMA world title challenger 'The Menace' Denice Zamboanga of the Philippines has been out for quite some time now, but she hasn't just been sitting pretty.

'The Menace' has dealt with injuries over the past few months, following her unanimous decision win over Noelle Grandjean last June. However, in her absence, Zamboanga says she worked on all areas of her game despite her limited training capacity.

Speaking in a recent interview with ONE Championship, Zamboanga said:

"My wrestling and BJJ has always been improving. I have a team in jiu-jitsu that truly focuses on me, they’re really analyzing my moves, my strengths and weaknesses to really improve my ground game."

Zamboanga added:

"Being a well-rounded fighter is truly important in MMA. You can’t just focus on one thing. That’s why I’m so confident coming into every fight."

Zamboanga will compete for her first ONE world title this weekend when she takes on a returning Ukrainian star for interim gold.
