Filipino atomweight fighter Denice Zamboanga is set to make her return to the Circle next month in a showdown with Brazilian Julie Mezabarba.
The fight was recently added to the card for ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video on April 21 at the famed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok.
Currently the No.3-ranked contender in the atomweight division, 26-year-old Denice Zamboanga seeks to build another winning streak after swinging back to the win column in her last fight back in December. She defeated China’s Lin Heqin by split decision at ONE on Prime Video 5 in her first fight in Manila.

'The Menace' Zamboanga was once in primary position to contend for the world title held by long-time world champion Angela 'Unstoppable' Lee and now wants to revisit the spot by piling up the wins.
Mezabarba, for her part, aims to change her fortunes after losing her last two fights. She made her promotional debut at ONE: Empower in September 2021, where she beat Japanese veteran Mei Yamaguchi by unanimous decision.
ONE Fight Night 9 is headlined by the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title clash between reigning champion Nong-O Hama and English challenger Jonathan Haggerty.
The event will air live and for free to all Prime Video subscribers in North America.
Denice Zamboanga calls out friend Stamp Fairtex after a spectacular performance in Manila
Filipino atomweight contender Denice Zamboanga is looking to enter the title mix in her division, which is why it was little wonder that she called out the top-ranked fighter in their group for a match after her last fight.
'The Menace' stopped a two-fight slide in December following her hard-earned split decision win over Lin Heqin of China at ONE on Prime Video 5 in Manila.
Immediately after the fight, she called out No.1-ranked contender and good friend Stamp Fairtex. Denice Zamboanga told announcer Mitch Chilson in the post-fight interview:
“I have interest in taking the No.1 rank, which belongs to my very close friend Stamp Fairtex. If I beat her, I can challenge the champion.”
In response, Thai superstar Stamp said she is open to fighting her, but the rankings must be followed first to be fair to everyone.
Zamboanga is currently third in the rankings, behind ONE women’s atomweight world champion Angela 'Unstoppable' Lee, Stamp, and South Korean Ham Seo See (second-ranked).
