Andrew Tate is one of the most well-known influencers on the internet today, and his relatively recent rise to notoriety was mainly due to his highly polarizing comments on social issues.
Regardless of how popular he is on social media, it's quite hard to digest that 'Top G' isn't familiar with two of the greatest athletes in sports. For context, in one of his previous interviews, Tate was asked to pick between Messi and Ronaldo.
The former kickboxer claimed he couldn't answer that question as he did not watch soccer except for England's international games. Dismissing any knowledge of the soccer superstars, he said:

"I don't have a clue. I can't choose. I've never watched a Premier League game. I don't watch any of the Arsenal-Chelsea stuff..."

In January this year, Andrew Tate surprisingly made a U-turn over his knowledge of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
In an interview with Piers Morgan on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Tate seemed to backtrack on his previous statements when asked the same question. He replied:
"They are two hard-working men on the earth, and I respect people who dedicate themselves."

Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo: How do their net worth compare against Andrew Tate's claims of being a trillionaire
Andrew Tate and his brother have spent the past couple of months in a Romanian prison on account of being under investigation for human trafficking and forming an organized crime ring.
Prior to their arrest, the Tate brothers were known for their flashy lifestyle. The disgraced influencer even referred to himself as a 'trillionaire', with fast cars, exotic destinations, and expensive personal accessories a common theme in his social media videos.
While Andrew Tate is undoubtedly a wealthy man, it is highly unlikely that his net worth will come close to that of Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
Tate makes his money through his main business ventures. His casinos, Hustler's University, The War Room, and his seemingly illegal webcam/OnlyFans business. Tate once claimed that he employed 75 women to run his webcam business, making around $600,000 per month.
However, the world of soccer is far bigger than anything Andrew Tate has tried his hand at.
According to Sportico, the two soccer greats have estimated career earnings of $1.58 billion (Ronaldo) and $1.48 billion (Messi). In 2022, Forbes reported that the Argentine was the highest-earning athlete in the world with $130 million in income, whereas the Portuguese star made $115 million.
While Tate has undoubtedly found immense financial success, he's a long way off from Ronaldo and Messi.
