Diego Sanchez is asking for legal help after raising concerns about what transpired during his BKFC bout with Austin Trout.
Sanchez took to his Instagram account, where he accused the bare-knuckle boxing promotion of assisting Trout in cheating in their fight by allowing his corner to apply vaseline to his shoulders and neck. He claimed to have taken a lot of unnecessary damage as a result.
He wrote:
"SO MORE PROOF OF AUSTIN TROUT’S CORNER AND @bkfc_the_cutman A @bareknucklefc EMPLOYEE COLLABORATED TO GREASE HIM IN PREVENTION OF MY CLINCH STRATEGY!!!!! I TOOK ALOT OF EXTRA DAMAGE IN THIS BOUT THAT I SHOULDN’T HAVE!"

'The Nightmare' was bloodied in the fourth round, which led to a doctor stoppage and Trout being awarded the TKO win. The former TUF winner asked for legal help as he wants to pursue action for what transpired, writing:
"If any lawyers can help me get this loss overturned in time please contact me this was blatant cheating!...These scars are for life and so is the loss if anyone can help please contact me! #godswillbedonenotmine I’m praying for god to restore what has been STOLEN from me in Jesus Christ mighty name amen"
It remains to be seen whether the commission will investigate Sanchez's claims.
Diego Sanchez opens up on why he accepted a fight against Austin Trout
Diego Sanchez also opened up about the reason behind accepting a fight with a former boxing champion like Austin Trout.
In the aforementioned Instagram post, he noted that the ability to clinch was one of the factors that led him to accept the fight. He mentioned that he wouldn't have accepted it under Queensberry rules and that their BKFC bout wasn't a neutral battleground, writing:
"I only took it because I watched @luisbaboon utilize the clinch by grabbing opponents head and actively striking while grabbing the back of the neck and shoulders! That was the fairness of the match up! I’m no idiot I would not try to box the 5x boxing world champion with no gloves! We agreed on a neutral battle ground."
The former UFC lightweight title challenger raised his concerns and tagged many journalists and MMA websites to bring more attention to what he believes took place during his bout.
