Dillon Danis appeared upset at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC), the marquee BJJ event, for allegedly awarding undeserving points to Gordon Ryan. He claimed that the promotion was biased toward the BJJ legend.
Danis shared a clip from his previous clash with Ryan at ADCC 2017 on his Instagram. 'El Jefe' commented on the alleged bias of the promotion, awarding points to 'The King', where they should have been deducted. The caption of his story read:
"Gordon Ryan always gets rewarded ADCC favoritism this a guard pull in ADCC rules that's negative 2 and I win."

Danis further cemented his claim as he shared a recent clip from the ongoing ADCC 2024 on his Instagram too:
"Another example and this isn't 2 points and they rewarded him the points and he won of this embarrassing for the sport."
When the two met in a no-gi grappling contest at ADCC 2017, neither fighter could score a submission, and thus the fight went to the referee's decision and Ryan picked up the win.
Logan Paul brought Gordon Ryan ahead of his clash with Dillon Danis
YouTube megastar Logan Paul was scheduled to fight Dillon Danis in the boxing ring as the co-main event to KSI vs Tommy Fury in October 2023.
During the weigh-ins of the promotional bout, Paul took the opportunity to bring Gordon Ryan on the stage, seemingly in an attempt to unsettle the 30-year-old.
The beef between 'The King' and 'El Jefe' is seemingly endless, as both fighters have previously engaged in verbal tirades against one another. While many can smell the insincerity in Danis' words from a mile away, Ryan still doesn't miss out on reminding everyone how fake the former grappler is.
For the first time in the tournament's history, a super-fight champion will compete twice in a single weekend at the ADCC 2024. Gordon Ryan will return on Sunday, August 18, for a second ADCC Superfight against Yuri Simoes, the 2022 Absolute Champion.
