Darren Till made his boxing debut in July as he defeated Mohammad Mutie via second-round TKO in an exhibition match. The former UFC welterweight title challenger is set to make his return to the ring later this month as he makes his professional debut against Anthony Taylor in the main event of MF & DAZN: X Series 20.

'The Gorilla' took to X on Monday to share photos of himself at the gym and grocery shopping, captioning the post:

"Solid day today"

Till's post sparked a reaction from Dillon Danis, leading to a back-and-forth between the two. The former Bellator mixed martial artist suggested that Till's career has taken a step backward, stating:

"6 main events in the UFC to boxing Anthony Taylor 😂"

Till fired back, claiming that Danis can't even make it to the UFC:

"6 main events in the UFC… Say it again my friend. Say the words in which ur name will never be said along side… 6 main events in the place you can’t get… 😂 😂 😈 😈 🤣 🤣 🫢 🫢"

Till and Danis have both been inactive in mixed martial arts, focusing instead on influencer boxing. The latter has expressed an interest in joining the UFC, however, promotional frontman Dana White has hinted that the chances of that happening are not likely.

Darren Till weighs in on Islam Makhachev vs. Arman Tsarukyan

While Darren Till has not competed in mixed martial arts in more than two years, he has largely remained active in discussing the sport on social media. 'The Gorilla' recently took to X to express his interest in the upcoming UFC lightweight title bout between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan, stating:

"I am really looking forward to Islam X Arman. I had the pleasure to train alongside Arman in Thailand. Has a great work ethic. Me him and Bren were some of the hardest workers at Tiger Muay Thai including former One champ Anatoly. They were good days living out in Thailand back then. Going to be a really high high level match between Islam and Arman and I can’t wait #TeamArman"

Makhachev will look to break a tie for the most title defenses in UFC lightweight history when he faces Tsarukyan at UFC 311 next weekend. The pair previously clashed at UFC Fight Night 149 in 2019, with the former winning via unanimous decision. Despite the loss, 'Ahalkalakets' impressed fans as he was just 22 years old at the time and making his promotional debut on short notice.
