Dirty Boxing co-founder Mike Perry recently reacted to Jon Jones after the UFC heavyweight champion complimented him during an interview. The former MMA fighter-turned-BKFC star has been known for his toughness and durability and has excelled in bare-knuckle boxing and welcomed 'Bones' as a guest for his inaugural event.
'Platinum' celebrated the beginning of Dirty Boxing, which is his newest venture that hopes to capitalize on the fans' preference for fights being contested with striking. Among those in attendance was 'Bones', who spoke highly of the promotion and Yoel Romero's first-round knockout win in the main event. While speaking to The Schmo following the event, Jones ended the interview with a compliment directed toward Perry, who was standing next to him.
'Platinum' reposted the clip to his Instagram account along with a caption expressing his gratitude toward 'Bones'. Perry mentioned that compliments like the one shared by Jones are the reason he approaches his fights the way he does:
"Compliments don't get any higher. I fought my a** off for this type of recognition. Thanks Champ."

Mike Perry shares initial reaction to inaugural Dirty Boxing event
In addition to reacting to Jon Jones' compliment toward him, Mike Perry also shared his initial reaction toward the inaugural Dirty Boxing event.
While speaking to The Schmo, Perry noted that he was thrilled with the results of the event and witnessing the product for the first time and mentioned some changes he might consider for the next event:
"We gotta go back to the drawing board. I need to look at things...I thought the heavyweight fight was great, I would have liked to [have] seen more power punches tonight. Maybe [a] different mix up of matches as well...it felt like MMA vs. MMA tonight in a boxing ruleset and I would like to see more boxing vs. MMA...boxer vs. boxer...I would like to see a more mix up of that to see what we could get out of the fighters."
