EA Sports UFC 4 is a mixed martial arts video game developed by EA Vancouver and published by EA Sports. This is the fourth installment of the series released on August 14, 2020. Originally published for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles, the game can be software upgraded to be compatible with PlayStation 5.

Like its predecessors, UFC 4 is based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship and boasts an in-game roster of 229 fighters with 81 different versions. With single and multi-player modes available, the video game offers users various options for gameplay like career mode, custom events, Blitz Battles, etc.

Since the launch of the PlayStation 5 (PS5) in November 2020, gamers have been concerned about the backward compatibility of older versions of games. However, Sony Interactive Entertainment soon announced that most games platformed on the PS4 would be compatible with the latest console.

This includes UFC 4, which can be played on the PS5 system with the latest software upgrade. Fans have been impressed with the FPS increase ( 60 FPS compared to PS4's 30 ) and the smoother gameplay. The decrease in input lag on the PS5 is another plus point.

Which fighters will join the EA Sports UFC 4 roster in the latest update?

Popular video game UFC 4 recently announced the addition of two new fighters to its roster. The latest update added two young and exciting prospects as playable characters in the game. Developed by EA Vancouver and published by EA Sports, the game has undergone massive upgrades since its first edition, launched in June 2014.

Bo Nickal was the first notable fighter to be added to the game. The three-time NCAA Division 1 wrestling champion earned himself a UFC contract with impressive back-to-back first-round submission wins in Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) last year. The 27-year-old American recently defeated Jamie Pickett at UFC 285 via first-round submission.

Raul Rosas Jr. is the second hot prospect added to the UFC 4 game. He became the youngest fighter to be signed by the UFC at seventeen after a dominant decision win over Mando Gutierrez in the DWCS last year. 'El Nino Problema' last defeated Jay Perrin on his promotional debut at UFC 282 within three minutes into the fight, further adding to the hype around him.

Nickal was given four and a half stars for grappling, while four stars each for striking and health. Meanwhile, Rosas Jr. has four stars each for grappling and health and three and a half stars for his striking.
